Learn about our cookies

Cookie policy:
From our website we wish to explain what cookies are, what they are used for, what their purpose is and how to manage or disable them.

What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small data file received by the terminal from the visited website and it is used to register various navigation interactions in a website through data storage that can be updated and recovered. These files are stored in the user’s terminal and contain anonymous data that is not damaging to the system. They are used to remember the user’s preferences such as the selected language, the login data or the customisable site.
Cookies are safe, since they can only store the information made available by the browser, that is, the information that the user has typed into the browser or the one included in the website request. They cannot execute code nor be used to access the user’s terminal.

Types of cookies

According to who manages them:
First-party cookies: they are sent and managed by a team or domain of the editor that owns the visited website.
Third-party cookies: they are sent and managed by a third party which is not the website editor, when they come from another server, for instance, the ones used by social networks or external content such as Google Maps.

According to the purpose for which the obtained data will be used:
Technical cookies: they allow the user to navigate through a website and use its options and services such as controlling the traffic, identifying the user’s login, accessing restricted parts of the site, remembering elements of an order, requesting the registration or participation in an event, using security elements during navigation, storing contents for the diffusion of video and audio or sharing contents through social media.
Personalisation cookies: they allow access to the service with predefined features according to several criteria such as the language, the type of browser through which the user accesses the service, the regional setup from which the user accesses the service, etc.
Analytics cookies: they allow us to quantify the number of users and also to measure and analyse statistically the usage of the services provided. This data allows us to improve the design and speed of our site.
Behavioural advertising cookies: they store information about the user’s behaviour obtained through the continual observation of their navigational habits. This allows to develop a specific profile to show advertisements suitable to this type of profile.

According to the expiration date:
Session cookies: they are temporary cookies that remain in the browser cookie file until the website is exited and are commonly used to analyse the traffic patterns on the site. In the long term, this allows the site to provide a better experience as they can be used to improve the website’s contents and make the navigation easier.
Permanent cookies: they are stored in the terminal and the website reads them every time it is visited. Despite its name, a permanent cookie has a specific expiration date and it will stop functioning after said date, which can last from a few minutes to several years. They are commonly used to facilitate the services offered by websites.
